The Corto Maltes Amazonia Lodge is located on the right margin of the Madre de Dios River, 10 km from the city of Puerto Maldonado.

This region is considered the World Capital of Biodiversity, due to the high number of animal and plant species that have been catalogued and studied by botanists and nature lovers. Three sanctuaries converge around this city: Biosphere Reserve Manu, the Tambopata National Reserve and the Reserve Candamo Bahuaja Sonene.
